Planking is the latest and probably the strangest internet craze. People are taking photos of themselves lying in unusual locations like planks. Justin Bieber and Chris Brown have also started planking. Justin Bieber posted a photo of himself and a friend planking in a yacht, and tweeted “Me and @Diggy_Simmons #plankin #schwag”. Chris Brown also posted a photo of himself planking on top of a round shelf. He added a caption “Plank!!!”.
Planking became a trend in a wrong way when a young man in Brisbane got himself killed when planking on a balcony. There was another incident in which a young man got arrested for planking on a police car. Perhaps Justin Bieber and Chris Brown should not have posted their planking photos on the web because they may encourage their fans to do the same thing. Planking can be really dangerous if people do it in the wrong place. People who want to do the planking must do it in a safe place or they may get seriously injured.
